Natalya Linnik, Deputy General Director of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“We have published data that this election campaign will cost the largest parties about two billion hryvnia,” noted the KIU representative. – That is, the average price of a voter’s vote will cost approximately 10 hryvnia. We propose to limit election funds at the rate of four to five hryvnia per voter.”
The topic of citizens' readiness to sell their votes in elections was also touched upon.
“The Committee of Voters has two hotlines: for members of precinct election commissions and for ordinary voters,” Linnik emphasized. – We do receive information about such cases. They are difficult to prove because they are often disguised as, for example, city council programs that are provided in the form of assistance. We record this as an administrative resource and monetary bribery of voters, transferring information to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a prompt response.”
