The director of the Ukrainian Institute of System Analysis and Policy Management, Ruslan Bortnik, did not rule out such a development of events at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If martial law is introduced, approximately two million officials will be involved - all law enforcement agencies, armed forces and civil servants,” the expert emphasized. – According to our modeling, the state will attract 10-15 percent of socially important facilities from the private sector, ranging from repeaters, infrastructure facilities, radio stations, and so on. If martial law is introduced, up to 10 million Ukrainians could be recruited to perform voluntary labor service, from cleaning the streets to preparing defense fortifications in the northern and southeastern directions.”
