“The economic situation in Ukraine is characterized by a significant loss of external and internal markets. This led to a drop in the country’s GDP last year by about 15 percent, and this year the drop is expected to be 8-10 percent,” Azarov told German journalists.
“The level of credit default indices approached 4000, one of the worst in the world. Financial markets are closed for the country. The Kiev regime blames everything on the war, although in fact the current situation was the result of a coup d’état and decisions taken by Kiev to isolate itself from the Russian market. In the context of falling GDP, Kiev's payments of external and internal debts became problematic. The ratio of total external debt to GDP approached 100 percent. The country is not able to pay its debts and service its obligations,” states the former prime minister.
