The initiator of the criminal prosecution of ex-President Petro Poroshenko, Andrei Portnov, invited everyone to come to the office of the State Bureau of Investigation on August 12 to personally “pull the jacket or touch a living state criminal,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Portnov wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“Everyone wants to personally exchange points, pull a jacket or touch a living state criminal, they can do this at the entrance to the State Bureau of Investigation on August 12, 2019 at 9-30 in the morning. At this time, the next interrogation of Poroshenko in the case of laundering criminal proceeds is planned,” Portnov wrote.
The lawyer also believes that Poroshenko’s election of a preventive measure in the form of arrest will not look controversial from a political point of view.
“I am sure that as the number of his interrogations increases, investigative actions with those close to him, new facts about his behavior during the investigation appear in the media, evidence of looting and examples of systematic lies, the defendant will sharply decrease in weight and at some point even become poisonous for your own gunpowder machines. At this moment, it will be possible to do absolutely everything with him, and if he is detained for crossing the street at a red light, no one will doubt the correctness and legal purity of this decision. He used this tactic for five years, now he will follow this path himself,” Portnov believes.
