June 13 in the European Parliament - voting for the issuance of money to Ukraine
The European Parliament, as part of the plenary session on June 13, will vote on the third macro-financial assistance program for Ukraine, which involves the allocation of EUR 1 billion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to information published on the European Parliament website, a debate on a package of further macro-financial assistance for Ukraine is planned on Tuesday, June 12, and a vote on this issue is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13.
The speaker will be European parliamentarian Jaroslav Walesa.
As reported, the EU Council approved the allocation of financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR1 billion, which is expected to be used by the country's authorities over the next two years. The purpose of allocating funds is “economic stabilization and a program of structural reforms.”
This is the third package of financial assistance from the EU to the Ukrainian authorities since 2014. In 2014, the EU sent assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR1,6 billion, in 2015 - EUR1,8 billion.
