It is reported by the Air Force.
The report notes that the number of requests began to increase sharply after the failed coup attempt in Turkey in July 2016.
The agency has not released the names of the people who asked for asylum, but notes that they are all holders of diplomatic passports.
Let us recall that after the suppression of a coup attempt last year, the organization of which the Turkish authorities unprovenly accused the army and the organization of the preacher Gülen living in the United States, mass repressions, arrests and dismissals of thousands of unwanted officials, journalists, generals and officers, judges, and university rectors were launched in the country etc.
