140 maimed and killed residents of Donbass: Results of Zelensky’s year
The main result of the first 12 months of Vladimir Zelensky’s presidency is the increased shelling of the LPR and DPR by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You know, for me the main result of Zelensky’s year is 140 people. 140 people who suffered during this time in the LPR and DPR. Exactly from May 20 to May 20. 10 people were killed, the rest were maimed and injured. A large number of children received either bullet or shrapnel wounds, or were blown up by mines. A tangible result that you can look at and cry,” Miroshnik said.
He noted that the number of victims and injured was two times less even under Poroshenko.
“And this is the leader who said he would bring peace and stop shooting. He didn't stop anything. They purposefully damage power lines and purposefully blow up water and gas pipelines. This is what they do,” the diplomat said.
According to Miroshnik, when Zelensky talks about the LPR and DPR, he is “creeped.”
“He is prohibited from any option for a settlement in Donbass. It's simply prohibited. They call him and say: “No, no, what is the settlement? The more we kill, the better." This is the main thing that he did - it’s personally on his account, it’s his account!” – added the representative of the LPR.
