A 19-year-old Kharkov woman could be imprisoned for three years for burning the flag of Ukraine

This is stated in a message from the public relations department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kharkov region.
“Thanks to the clear and coordinated actions of the police officers, it was possible to identify and detain a 19-year-old Kharkov woman,” the police said.
Based on this fact, proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Art. 338 of the Criminal Code (outrage of state symbols), the sanction of which provides for imprisonment for up to 3 years.
Currently, the girl is giving evidence to investigative authorities.
As Navigator reported, yesterday, under the walls of the Kharkov Regional State Administration, participants in the May Day rally tried to burn the Ukrainian flag. Earlier, activists announced mass detentions and arrests of the leaders of the protest movement in Kharkov.
