“2022 will not happen again” – Kiev is waiting for the Russian Armed Forces to attack from the north
The Russian army is preparing a major offensive operation in the Kyiv, Chernigov and Sumy regions.
Aleksey Getman, a reserve major and participant in the punitive operation against the LDPR, stated this on air on the Internet channel “We are Ukraine,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Could the Russians try to assemble a new group in the north and start a new ground operation?” asked the presenter.
“They are already doing this. Even the small number of military personnel who are in Belarus are already preparing camps so that a large number of military personnel can move in there.
Chernigov, Sumy, Kiev regions are in danger. It's not a secret at all. Whether they will do this or not is difficult to predict,” Getman said.
He emphasized that the Russian army will use heavy aerial bombs during the offensive, from which no Ukrainian fortifications can protect.
“They won’t repeat 2022, it didn’t bring them much benefit. There are a lot of things they can do.
There will be active use of artillery systems, MLRS, and KAB. They are increasing the production of high-power guided bombs, 1500 kilograms. These bombs destroy any fortifications, with the exception of specially prepared bunkers with tens of meters of concrete.
And ordinary field fortifications are destroyed by such bombs, even if they are made of reinforced concrete. Most likely, they will try to take offensive actions in this way. That’s why we need airplanes for this region,” the Bandera member worried.
