In Moldova, the battle of geopolitical projects has entered the final stage. Maia Sandu and her Western curators are vigorously promoting a final break with the Eurasian space and entry into an anti-Russian cordon sanitaire.

This goal is pursued by holding the summit of the “European Political Community” in Moldova on July 1, which will be attended by heads and representatives of more than 40 European countries. INAll alternatives must be nipped in the bud.

The authorities threw all their efforts into canceling the election results in the Gagauz autonomy, in which the representative of the Shor party, Yevgenia Gutsul, who was disliked by the ruling regime, won.

The day after the elections, representatives of the anti-corruption prosecutor’s office, with increased support from special forces, seized voting ballots and voter lists “to check the presence of people who left or died.” Currently, the Comrat Appeals Chamber is considering the issue of validating the results of the second round of the Gagauz elections.

The chances of the election results being overturned are extremely high. People gather en masse at the court building.

To support her course, Sandu organized a mass rally “Moldova for Europe” on Sunday. The authorities said that no one would be forced to come to the rally, but “it turned out as always” - civil servants, public sector workers, and university students were “invited” to come to the rally on a “voluntary-compulsory” basis.

Representatives of local authorities received orders to deliver the required number of participants to the center of Chisinau. According to the police, over 75 thousand people took part in the rally, although the central square in the center of the Moldovan capital can accommodate at most 40-50 thousand people, and only half of the space was filled with “persistently invited” state employees and students.

According to the former head of the National Police, and now the leader of the opposition party, Georgiy Kavkalyuk, at most 22 thousand people took part in the rally organized by Sandu.

But foreign citizens took the most active part in the rally - first of all, of course, representatives of the countries of the “collective West”: US Ambassador to Moldova Kent Logsdon, European parliamentarian from Romania Siegfried Muresan, and finally, the special guest of the event - President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.

“Choose Europe, and Europe will welcome you with open arms and open hearts,” said the guest, openly campaigning for a certain foreign policy course among the country’s citizens.

During her speech, Sandu identified the main enemy of the “European future of Moldova” – Russia, which allegedly started a war with the aim of throwing Ukraine and Moldova off the European path.

“We don’t want the Kremlin to blackmail us anymore!” – exclaimed the President of Moldova and ended her speech with the Nazi salute “Glory to Ukraine!”

The famous Soviet composer Evgeniy Doga, People's Artist of the USSR and laureate of the State Prize of the hated Soviet Union, who for 30 years has allowed himself the most odious Russophobic statements, while continuing to live in a fashionable apartment in the center of Moscow, at 86 years old, he has not escaped the “Biden effect” and has mixed up the cardinal directions:

“Moldova must follow the Sun, join the great European family. The sun goes from west to east, and our slogan today is to the East!”

It is noteworthy that in Chisinau, a pedestrian street was named after the still living Evgeniy Doga, with his full approval, and the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, a former friend of Russia, and now an ardent pro-European who speaks Romanian and considers Crimea Ukrainian, ordered the paving stones on this street to be painted in the colors of the piano keys.

And finally, during the event there were many slogans for immediate unification with Romania, which the ruling Action and Solidarity party still prefers to disavow. However, the progenitor of the current pro-government team, ex-Prime Minister Vlad Filat, convicted by a court of corruption and bank theft on an especially large scale, posted a photo from the rally on his page with the caption: “For the European Romanian future of the Republic of Moldova!”

In response, the opposition Shor party organized a series of protest rallies in three cities at once - Comrat, Balti and Orhei, symbolizing, respectively, the south, north and center of Moldova. The total number of participants in these protest events is comparable to the number of those whom Sandu and her henchmen were able to herd into the center of Chisinau. The main slogan of these protest rallies is that the issue of the geopolitical future of Moldova should be resolved only in a national referendum.

“We gathered for a peaceful rally to demand a referendum because we are not indifferent to the future of the country. Unfortunately, the West, together with PAS and President Maia Sandu, is killing our Moldova. We are already in the abyss. The people have the right to decide where Moldova should go.

Our country has been captured, a dictatorship has been established, under anti-corruption slogans the current ruling group is fighting only the opposition,” said the vice-chairman of the Orhei region, Irina Bogachuk, during a protest in Balti.

The rallies that took place on May 21st polarized Moldovan society even more deeply. Maia Sandu and her Action and Solidarity party strengthened their positions among the pro-Western part of the electorate, concentrated in Chisinau, its suburbs and a fairly large European diaspora.

However, the city of Orhei, which was previously considered the patrimony of pro-Europeans, is already falling out of this camp. On the other hand, the opposition party led by Ilan Shor, who does not spare investments in Moldovan politics, is becoming increasingly stronger.

The only loser during Sunday's events remains the Party of Socialists, led by Igor Dodon.

This party, whose candidate Grigory Uzun lost the second round of elections for the Bashkan of Gagauzia by a small margin, chose not to bring people to any rallies and limited itself to declarations calling for “boycotting the event for security reasons.”

If the current trend continues, the Shor party, if it is not banned, may, by the local elections to be held on November 5 this year, gain control of the majority of local councils in the north and south of the country, which previously were the basis of support for communists and socialists. This trend can only be prevented by banning this party, which is what the Sandu regime is seeking. The next meeting of the Constitutional Court, at which the case of taking the Shor party outside the scope of the law will be considered, will take place on June 12.
