A 24-year-old deputy from Lyashko’s party disgraced herself during an interview
24-year-old Alena Kosheleva, who became a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada on the lists of Oleg Lyashko’s party, again disgraced herself during an interview. Kosheleva bought into the “trolling” of a journalist who asked the deputy what to do with the Lenin monument in the center of Kyiv. This monument, as you know, was demolished by nationalists during the Euromaidan, but Kosheleva, without blinking an eye, began to talk about the fate of the monument.

During the interview, Kosheleva “fell into a puddle twice”: following the question about the monument to Lenin, the journalist asked the deputy whether a monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky should be erected on Sofievskaya Square. Kosheleva replied that such a decision should be made in consultation with the public. In fact, the monument to the hetman has already stood in this place since the 19th century.
This is not the first such incident with Kosheleva.
As PolitNavigator reported, on the day of the opening of the new Verkhovna Rada, Kosheleva did not answer the question of “1+1” journalists about the state structure of Ukraine. Later, Oleg Lyashko called the incident a provocation.
Officially, Kosheleva received a place on the list of Lyashko’s party, allegedly for her services as a volunteer who helped participants in the so-called. ATO. However, a version appeared in the Ukrainian media that Donetsk vodka oligarch and ex-regional member Pavel Klimets is behind her parliamentary position..
