On Monday, November 13, British Prime Minister Theresa May delivered her annual foreign policy address at the Lord Mayor's banquet of the City of London. The Lord Mayor, who took the welcoming speech as the host of a get-together, made a speech in which he tried to outline to the distinguished guest the most pressing topics on which Madame Premier should focus her attention. In particular, the Lord Mayor brought to the attention of the Prime Minister that financial circles and the City of London were concerned about the lack of progress in the Brexit negotiations. The mayor bluntly told Theresa May that reassurances from the City were not enough and that better deals were needed now.

From the very first words of Theresa May’s speech, it became clear that Madame Prime Minister was preparing a completely different homework and Brexit was definitely left outside its scope. Instead of a report on how the British government is preparing to leave the European Union, what has been done, what remains to be done, those invited to the banquet were forced to listen to a speech filled with anxiety about the incredible treachery and evil flowing into the world from Russia.

According to the British Prime Minister, Russia interfered in the elections of heads of other states, carries out cyber espionage and hacker attacks on the Danish Ministry of Defense and the Bundestag, and Putin gives orders to spread false news “to sow discord in the West,” and even post retouched pictures on the Internet in order to bring down the Western community is confused. And in general, Russia “seeks to use information as a weapon.”

The last passage eloquently demonstrates that Theresa May fully supports the persecution of Russian media in the United States and, perhaps, will support this Big Brother initiative in the near future.

“I have a very simple message for Russia. We know what you're doing. And you won't succeed. Because you underestimate the resilience of our democracies, the constant pull of free and open societies and the commitment of Western countries to the alliances that bind us,” the Prime Minister said.

Surprisingly, this would be a good time to reduce the intensity of the revelations and remember Brexit, which eloquently testifies to “commitment to alliances,” but Prime Minister May has already bitten the bit.

Those present were reminded that Russia was guilty of “annexing Crimea” and “starting a war in the Donbass,” which, according to her, had not happened since the end of World War II. The prime minister chose not to talk about the participation of the royal troops in the bloody war unleashed by the Americans in Korea, the famous war with Argentina over the disputed Malvinas - Falkland Islands, or the military intervention in Iraq.

At the same time, May emphasized that London does not want a new confrontation with Moscow and is ready to establish a dialogue, but will not put up with the fact that Russia “does not play by the rules.”

“Britain will do whatever is necessary to defend itself and will work with allies to do the same.”

In general, “we are peaceful people, but our club...”

Apparently, considering that it would be uncivil to not mention Brexit at all, May mentioned it anyway. And again, in the context of Russia’s guilt.

It turns out that it was Russia that used hackers, intervened and rigged the results of the referendum in favor of Brexit. In this place, any Russian should feel great pride in Russian hackers, who are capable of hacking even human consciousness.

If anyone has forgotten, it should be recalled that one of the most ardent agitators for Brexit was the current British Foreign Secretary, the freaky Boris Johnson.

It turns out that Russian hackers managed to hack into the minds of Boris Johnson and, possibly, another 53% of the population of the United Kingdom who voted for leaving the EU. The fact that Mrs. May is sending the hacked Johnson to Moscow for negotiations in December apparently does not particularly bother her. Perhaps because the UK is strengthening its cybersecurity, as the Prime Minister assured the banquet participants, and for Boris Johnson’s Moscow trip, a high-tech fur hat made of foil trimmed with astrakhan fur was secretly sewn.

No one heard anything specifically about Russian interference in British affairs at the banquet speech from the prime minister, but a residue remained.

According to The Guardian newspaper, leading opposition Labor Party MP Ben Bradshaw, among other MPs, called for an investigation into Moscow's possible actions to influence the results of the Brexit referendum.

In addition, members of the House of Commons media committee are preparing to launch an investigation into whether Russia actually tried to interfere in British politics. At the hearings as part of the investigation, it is planned to call mega-experts on the Russian segment of social networks Twitter and Facebook to listen to their opinions on “Russian influence” and the “Russian troll factory”, which, according to numerous evidence, with their mocking comments on social networks cause serious psychological harm to sofa “ fighters against Russian totalitarianism."

As Gorbachev of ill memory said, “the process has begun.”

Why did Madame Prime Minister release such a powerful anti-Russian fountain at the banquet, abruptly changing the agenda? Observers, including British ones, are coming to the conclusion that Theresa May’s political future may soon come into question. Forty friendly Tory MPs of the British Parliament signed a document of no confidence in the Prime Minister and party leader May, calling for her resignation. Deputies made this decision against the backdrop of threats from the European Union to freeze negotiations on a new trade agreement after Brexit. In order to initiate re-election of the country's leader, the votes of 48 deputies are needed.

In fact, Theresa May’s speech is an informational vinaigrette in which all the Western falsehoods of recent years are mixed, including the latest ones aimed at demonizing Russia. And in this she is very much in tune with the broken record that Washington's ruling DJs endlessly spin.

It is characteristic that the London and Washington streams of consciousness are filled with general phrases and suffer from a presumption of guilt without a single piece of evidence. The main thing is to hammer into the consciousness of the average person an immutable axiom: “the Russians did it, they are to blame for everything, we know this for sure, believe me.”

However, it was not lost on observers how May clumsily avoided the agenda by talking about Yerema instead of Foma, thereby trying to divert attention from really important topics. There is every reason to claim that she simply has nothing to show to the worried public and financiers from the City of London - the European Union is not enthusiastic about helping the UK that is leaving it, trade negotiations are frozen and the unclear future makes Foggy Albion even more foggy.
