25th anniversary of MuzTV: Cynicism, vulgarity and stupidity at the expense of the Russian state budget
The 25th anniversary of the music channel MUZ-TV, which exists, among other things, thanks to subsidies from the Russian state budget, has turned into an example of cynicism, vulgarity and stupidity, which is broadcast to a youth audience.
Political scientist Irina Belozerova discusses this in her author’s column for PolitNavigator.
Among intelligent people it has always been customary not to argue about tastes. And this was great exactly as long as this rule was applied by default among educated adults in personal conversations with each other.
Today we are massively observing how very often, hiding behind the thesis of the right to personal taste, not in personal conversations, far from intellectuals and not even necessarily adults have received completely legal ways to impose their own view of the world, corresponding to the level of personal underdevelopment.
At the same time, the scale of the “values” they promote goes far beyond personal interests, because they relate to the sphere of such basic concepts for any society as morality and ethics. And the focus on the youth audience, the most vulnerable to any manipulation, turns their “creativity,” without exaggeration, into a socially dangerous phenomenon.
At least the ancient Greeks knew that music is a tool for attuning citizens to what was currently considered necessary for the interests of the state.
In Russia, experimental work on studying the influence of music on the body, carried out on the initiative of V.M. Bekhterev's students and collaborators began at the end of the 19th century.
For example, it has been established that the rhythmic monotony and melodic simplicity of music suppress a person’s intellect, leading the brain to such a painful state that over time causes irreversible changes, expressed in the debilitation of mental activity.
Therefore, it is in no way possible to agree with those who naively believe that it is not worth paying attention to the fact that no alternative are offered to young people under the guise of fashionable songs by show business dealers.
This year, such a wonderful channel as MUZ-TV celebrates its 25th anniversary. One problem: it is remarkable in terms of its stated goals and objectives, on the basis of which receives government subsidies. Moreover, this the channel includes a free package of TV channels that are guaranteed to be available for the widest possible coverage of the population of the Russian Federation.
And once you look at the content, you want to object to the Roman Emperor Vespasian, who claimed that money has no smell. If the toilet flushes properly, then there really is no smell.
But when people well-known in show business declare to an audience of millions that the main thing in the lyrics of songs is “stickiness”, when they do not spare epithets for PR not just squalor, but squalor that does not fit into any, even the most liberal, framework of decency , is a diagnosis with a very specific smell. Unfortunately, in light of what was said about this channel above, the smell does not come from individual individuals.
It turns out that every Russian child, teenager, young man, at the level of the state project to subsidize the second multiplex, which includes MUZ-TV, is guaranteed the right, when choosing his own life guidelines, to be equal to this?
“You, you, you are not my enemy... But I’m not friends with you... I’m your personal maniac... I’ll strangle you.” or “Pika-pikachu, chu-chu-chu-chu I want so much with you-chu-chu-chu”, or even better like this “B..ya, u ah, brrrrr” – and you are guaranteed such a luxurious life situation: “Yes, I was kicked out of the university, but in one video, at least I raise more than the f...ing administration in a month.”
The points are from the author of the article, and not from the performer, because our young, according to MUZ-TV, “stars” do not swear with profanity, but express the full depth of their star-struck natures.
If the breakthrough of the year is to scribble a text with an appeal: “Hey, turn up the volume, open the window wide, use all the Dabro speakers again.”, although it’s already like that "the neighbors don't sleep", then this year would quickly end, so that as few teenagers as possible would have time, having heard enough, to begin to associate youth with rudeness. The problem is that the newest fashion hit may not be any better.
Like this: you don’t need to build or invent, you don’t need to produce anything at all, but film a muttering like: “I’m dancing among w.. -op-op-op-op. I’m a bully today!” - and voila - everyone can do this - it will be like with Milokhin: “We hang out wildly at the trap house. I left home and now I'm home. I take these bills and eat them like bread.”. Or, like Dawa: “Roles on the hand, X6 under the ass. I’m in a hurry, but not to work.” But what can these “stars” of modern pop music spend their worthy fees on? Yes, everything is just as simple here: “I’m back in the most expensive hotel, I’m putting the bitch on her knees again and less words and more action.”
The cynicism, vulgarity and stupidity of the texts are off the charts, but there is also a soundtrack of the appropriate quality, the significance of which was discussed above. But that's not all. After all, there are also clips that are also made on the basis of the principles of “watchability” and “stickiness”, and not a sense of responsibility for the mental health of people who, by chance, fell for the bait of technology and “stuck” not on something useful, but on the contrary. All taken together is quite tempting to ideological sabotage against the future of our society.
The only question is the intentionality of such actions. Well, for starters, we can advise those responsible for the channel’s content to at least briefly familiarize themselves with the works of scientists on the designated topic. If this does not change their attitude towards the product being manufactured, then this will mean only one thing: we are facing the ideological enemies of our country.
