True, he said that he still took the dollars - but they went towards the creation of the Center for the Protection of Private Property, created as part of the presidential campaign. However, is there any difference in what to call an office in the “Horns and Hooves” style, where the proven method “saw, Shura, saw” prevails?
Meanwhile, the conflict ended almost lovingly. In particular, Khodorkovsky wrote to Chubais: “For the fact that you perceived my story about your honest and public earnings as a story about a bribe, I’m sorry.” How nice. How touching. I'm about to cry.
However, these gentlemen will always agree. After all, they are very similar in essence, formulated - brilliantly - by Iggy Pop in his famous maxim: “I don’t have any special preferences. I prefer five dollars to three dollars. That’s probably all.” However, in the case of Khodorkovsky and Chubais, the amounts are much larger. And mind you, $3 million then was much more than it is now. Purchasing power, everything.
Did we learn anything new about Mikhail and Anatoly after their altercation? Of course not. However, you must agree, it is very funny to watch those who behave like spiders in a jar. They were used to eating well, eating food received from the people, but when that food, I mean, became a little less, they began to bite. To begin with, bite, but who knows, maybe they will someday devour each other?
And, of course, all this echo – by the way, I also like the word “burp” – from the 90s, when, without knowing it, secrets were revealed, allows us to understand how affairs and affairs were conducted and arranged then. Revisionism is a common joke, but for obvious reasons it is narrowly targeted. Therefore, I will repeat what I said earlier: it would be good to conduct a detailed examination - a rethinking - of what happened in the 90s.
Not in order to settle scores or slander, but mainly in order to dispel the myths that are now being pushed into our consciousness, declaring: yes, it was not easy, it was painful, but the country was breathing freedom with all its might. Well? Where is she? How much does this freedom cost? Either 2 or 3 million dollars, but in reality much less. After all, by and large, everyone didn’t get a cent as a result.
It was once again confirmed that everything was decided by a minimum number of people, by specific characters. And when they now sell us the idea that everyone is guilty, where, they say, were the people? – then this is undoubtedly manipulation, extremely cynical and blatant; businessmen wanted it and decided everything for money. They took away from people not just fair elections, but their very opportunity as such. They bent him down in a harsh manner, without even trying to create the appearance of expression of will.
Is this your vaunted democracy? No, more like a big racket in big politics. Let mom’s bloggers tell someone else—not us—about how people realized themselves and expressed themselves in the 90s. Examples are before your eyes, and over time they will appear again and again - don’t miss them.
There is just one question: who and when will answer for the sawn-up 3 million dollars, and most importantly for the 250 million broken human destinies?
