Kyiv, February 09 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Due to speculation with the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine, borrowers of foreign currency loans are unable to fulfill their obligations.

People's Deputy Oleg Lyashko stated this at the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to him, the head of the National Bank, Valeria Gontareva, is to blame for this situation, whom Lyashko proposed to exchange for the Ukrainian pilot-gunner Nadezhda Savchenko, who is in a Russian prison.

“We call on parliament to override the presidential veto on the law on levying property of foreign currency borrowers. People don’t have the money to pay loans of 30 UAH. for a dollar. I have a proposal: let’s replace our head of the National Bank, Gontareva, with Savchenko. This could be one subject for negotiation. 30 UAH for a dollar is a disaster,” Lyashko said.
