30% of Russians expect a resumption of the war in Ukraine
Moscow - Kyiv, November 24 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - After the elections in Donbass, sociologists from the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) asked Russians to make a forecast of how the situation in Ukraine will develop. As the survey showed, Russians are making very pessimistic forecasts.

Half of those surveyed believe that the elections in the DPR and LPR will not change the situation in the neighboring state. A quarter of respondents (24%) believe that it will only get worse, and only 14% of Russians believe in its improvement.
83% of Russians do not believe in a truce between the DPR, LPR and the Kyiv authorities after the agreements reached in Minsk. Every tenth (11%) still believes that the truce is being respected.
The majority of respondents (56%) blame the Ukrainian government for the violation of the Minsk agreements. Russians see the United States as the second culprit, although with a significant lag behind the leader (9%), and third place is occupied by President Poroshenko (5%). 3% see the influence of the European Union in this, while Russia and the militias got one percent each, citing survey data "News".
The fact that Kyiv seems to Russians to be a greater culprit in this regard than the United States seemed very natural to the General Director of VTsIOM Valery Fedorov. “Russians consider the Kyiv authorities to be puppets of Washington and Brussels,” he noted. According to Fedorov, the main trend is that the Russians still want peace to be established in Donbass, but the achieved truce is not considered true. «30% of those who expect war to start again soon is a very large number,” the sociologist added.
