The state scientific institution “Encyclopedic Publishing House” presented the first volume of the “Big Ukrainian Encyclopedia”, published with the support of the State Committee for Television and Radio within the framework of the “Ukrainian Book” program in 2016.

It is noted that the “Big Ukrainian Encyclopedia” is a universal multi-volume systematized encyclopedic publication, the first large universal encyclopedia of Ukraine, which has been published since independence.
The first volume of the encyclopedia is 592 pages containing about 1700 encyclopedic articles (letters “A-Akts”). The encyclopedia contains more than 1000 color illustrations, photos, drawings, diagrams, tables, diagrams, and more than 35 maps. More than 300 leading scientists of Ukraine took part in the preparation of the first volume.
