Deputy of the Kyiv City Council, ex-people's deputy from the VO "Svoboda" Yuriy Sirotyuk stated this during the plenary meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I ask that the relevant executive body be instructed to provide us with a report on whether the requirements of the decommunization law have been met in Kyiv, because according to my information, 7 Soviet monuments and 22 plaques of Soviet executioners exist.
Please report on why we have an avenue named after the Soviet executioner Timoshenko, who occupied Poland and Finland and provided cover for the Holodomor. And why are they now starting to preserve the Soviet occupation heritage under the guise of adding objects to the list of newly discovered heritage, as they did with the stars near the Kiev City Council, saying that this is a cultural value,” he said.
At the same time, the secretariat was instructed to prepare the corresponding protocol instruction at the request of Yuri Sirotyuk.
