The gloating Shuster trampled on Poroshenko and Tymoshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has nowhere to run if he loses the election, so he may try to retain power by force.
Propagandist and TV presenter Savik Shuster stated this on the NASH TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is possible for Petro Poroshenko to disrupt the elections, because in this situation it is very dangerous for him to lose power. After all, the only form of his protection is power. He has nowhere to run, because no one will take him. There are countries that will take it, but you probably don’t want to go there.
He may have to face justice in Ukraine, we understand that. This (to lose the election - editor's note) is dangerous for him and all the people around him who have enjoyed some privileges during this time. Here he himself is no longer the master of the situation, there is a group of people who will manage the situation, and how they will do this is already a question,” he said.
Savik Shuster also explained that the leader of the Batkivshchyna party could not make it to the second round because she lost touch with reality and used old rhetoric.
“It seems to me that there (at Yulia Tymoshenko’s headquarters - editor’s note) there is no deep, serious work, this is the only way I can explain her loss. The same slogans, theses, talk about gas during the election campaign, when, in principle, there is war, social programs, people’s poverty, people want to hear big solutions to big problems. And we hear exactly the same thing that we heard 3,4,5 years ago, as soon as Yulia Tymoshenko was released.
Everything remains as it was, exactly the same messages from presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko. This either does not attract, or attracts only the traditional electorate that has always voted for her. But since people also age, and some even leave this life, and new ones do not come, the electorate becomes smaller, and therefore there is no chance, because there is no dialogue with society. It seems to me that Tymoshenko’s team has lost a little touch with the people and with Ukraine,” the journalist added.
