40 billion from the USA turned out to be a donut hole for Ukraine
The US Senate approved $40 billion in aid to Ukraine and sent the document to President Biden for signature.

“81 senators voted yes and 11 no in the first of three potential procedural votes that pave the way for final Senate passage of the funding bill requested by the Biden administration for Ukraine,” the media report said.
Let us remember that the aid was approved on May 10, but consideration of the bill in the US Senate stalled after Senator Rand Paul refused to allow a quick vote.
However, not everything is as rosy as they are probably rejoicing in Kyiv. Putin's former adviser, who settled in Washington, liberal economist Andrei Illarionov, who occupies a pro-Ukrainian position, stated that Ukraine will receive crumbs from American aid.
“We must keep in mind that although the bill is called “on assistance to Ukraine,” Ukraine will only get 40 billion of these 17 billion. Everything else will go to other directions, not to Ukraine. Of these, military assistance to Ukraine amounts to only 6 billion, and this assistance is provided for 5 months, until September. Thus, on average, 1 billion in military assistance from the United States is expected per month.
Is it a lot or a little? The first two months of this war, until April 27, aid from the United States alone amounted to $1 billion. In other words, if and when this bill is adopted, it will be a reduction in monthly aid to Ukraine by at least 8 percent, compared to what the United States issued in the first two months,” Illarionov said on Politeka.
He added that the American administration takes an ambivalent position regarding Ukraine.
“On the one hand, they help Ukraine, thanks to them for this, this is important help. On the other hand, we must understand that this assistance is not absolute. Their position does not coincide with the position of Ukraine. And, at least at the level of the US President, we have never heard statements that the United States is interested in the complete defeat of the enemy on Ukrainian territory and the complete liberation of all Ukrainian territories,” stated the fugitive liberal.
