40 percent of Ukrainian citizens continue to have a good attitude towards Russia

On the issue of attitude towards Russia, citizens of Ukraine are actually split in half, Nezavisimaya Gazeta reports, citing a recent survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

“Having processed the data, sociologists came to the conclusion that public opinion in Ukraine has remained virtually unchanged since the spring: in May, 42% of Ukrainians said they had a good attitude towards Russia, in September - 40%,” the publication notes. – 43% of Ukrainians were negatively disposed towards the neighboring state in May, and 46% in September. KIIS clarified that in all regions of Ukraine there is a deterioration (by 2–5%) in attitudes towards Russia. The only exception was the south of Ukraine, where the number of negatively-minded citizens decreased from 32% to 27%.”
