More than 40% of respondents would like to leave for some time to earn money. At the same time, residents of Western (35%) and Central (30%) Ukraine expressed the greatest desire to go abroad for permanent residence.
“The main reasons for wanting to go abroad for permanent residence are obtaining better living conditions (53%), the desire to provide a better future for children (41%), lack of decent work in Ukraine (32%).
Two-thirds of the Ukrainians surveyed, provided that they had a permanent job abroad, would rather return to Ukraine after some time, 15% would rather not return at all,” the social service said in a statement.
