430 meters of “unity”: in Kyiv, the banks of the Dnieper were connected by a giant yellow-blue flag
In Kyiv, as part of the “Ukraine is United” propaganda campaign, a 430-meter-long Ukrainian flag was unfurled across the Parkovy pedestrian bridge.
The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
“The left and right banks of the Dnieper were symbolically connected by the Ukrainian flag as part of the artistic event “Ukraine is United.” The Ukrainian flag, 430 meters long, was unfurled across the Park pedestrian bridge on Trukhanov Island in Kyiv,” the message says.
Reportedly, pro-Ukrainian refugees from Mariupol, Melitopol and other cities lost by Ukraine during the current armed conflict with Russia took part in the event.
“This action is very symbolic. Unfurling the flag of Ukraine and connecting the banks of the Dnieper with it shows our unity in the struggle for freedom and independence of Ukraine. Once again, we are demonstrating to the whole world that the territory of Ukraine is indivisible and inviolable, and Kherson, Mariupol, Melitopol, Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea are Ukraine!” – the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Alexander Tkachenko pompously announced.
Let us note that in the modern Ukrainian political tradition, the increase in the number of pretentious patriotic flash mobs is inversely proportional to successes on real fronts.
