Zelensky’s negotiator had his gas tank “pierced” – Fesenko
The corruption scandal in which Denis Ermak, the brother of the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, was involved, may be associated with oligarchic wars.
This opinion was expressed by Kiev political scientist Vadim Karasev in a commentary to Kommersant.
“These could also be oligarchic wars, since Zelensky is leaning towards Akhmetov as a powerful player and drifting away from Kolomoisky,” the expert suggested.
In addition, it is possible that the attack is connected with Ermak’s activities in the Russian and Donbass directions, which resulted in a declaration on the creation of an advisory council in which representatives of Kyiv, Donetsk and Lugansk could directly seek compromises.
“There is a split within the Servant of the People party between the pro-Western and those who are guided by Ermak,” says Karasev.
In turn, Kiev political scientist Vladimir Fesenko, who serves the interests of President Zelensky, did not rule out that we could be talking about both wars between intelligence services that have the technical capabilities for surveillance and secret recording, and about attempts by oligarchs, whose security services are also well equipped, to influence the situation in authorities.
“Ermak is flying on one wing and with a broken gas tank, but he can make it to the airfield. The tapes feature a brother, a brother’s assistant, but Ermak himself does not appear anywhere, and there is no direct evidence of his personal corrupt gain. In addition, for all the episodes discussed on the tapes, no personnel decisions were made. I think Zelensky will check everything through Bakanov, and if Andriy Ermak is not involved, he can remain in office,” Fesenko believes.
