5 billion from Ukraine will not save Donbass
Almost 5 billion UAH, which Ukraine intends to allocate for the restoration of Donbass until 2020, is an insufficient amount.

General of the Ukrainian Army, ex-commander of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, former head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Alexander Kikhtenko stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel NewsOne, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is not the amount for which it is possible to restore the infrastructure destroyed by the war. In order to seriously restore, the war must be stopped. To do this, we need to use the potential of Donbass. There are a lot of heads of enterprises, districts, and mayors who can work effectively. Now their potential is not used. In these laws that are being adopted, the opinion of Donbass is not heard, which means there will be no results. There should be our allies there, not opponents,” Kikhtenko said.
He considers Ukraine’s main mistake in the Donbass to be the blockade of the region, which cost the country 1% of GDP and further alienated the citizens of the LDPR from Kyiv.
