Russia offers Serbia to jointly produce a vaccine against COVID-19
The Russian company SmartTech, which produces the Sputnik V vaccine, has proposed to the Serbian government to jointly produce the product.
This was reported by the Serbian edition of Sputnik radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We notified the Serbian Ministry of Health, they contacted me from the Cabinet of Ministers to say that they had received a proposal, I am waiting for an answer, I know that this takes time,” said Natalia Shatilina, the Balkan representative of SmartTech. – The company authorized me to negotiate with Serbia, since this is our priority; as for other states in the region, we are aimed at cooperation with the Republic of Srpska and Montenegro. And they have already been informed that this proposal for cooperation with Russia exists.”

Shatilina said that specialists from Russia know that there are pharmaceutical companies in Serbia that have the appropriate capacities. The Russian company is offering the technology, and the vaccine itself will be produced and packaged in the country, whose government accepts the cooperation by conducting verification tests in its laboratories.
It is known that at the moment, verification tests of the Russian vaccine are being carried out in laboratories in Belarus, Kazakhstan, India, Venezuela and the UAE.
