Kyiv, December 24 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) - 55% of residents of Great Britain, Germany and France (the “powerhouse” countries of the European Union - author) spoke out against increasing financial assistance to Ukraine. This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by the British company ICM Research.

The French are most opposed to the allocation of money to Ukraine: 66% of residents were in favor of canceling the aid altogether, writes the newspaper Capital. This position is also supported by 39% of Germans. Moreover, 40% of Germans are in favor of lifting sanctions against Russia.

Research also showed that 46% of Europeans want their countries to have a more independent policy from Washington.

In total, three thousand residents of EU countries took part in the survey.
