60 useless Albanians are desperately rioting in the neutral zone
Several dozen Albanian citizens blocked the road for trucks near the Greek border crossing of Kakavia due to the fact that their home country does not want to let them in.
Albanian media reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About 60 Albanian citizens, mostly young men, were trapped in the neutral zone between the borders of Albania and Greece, where they worked. However, the Albanian authorities do not allow them home because Tirana has closed its borders for quarantine, and Greece does not allow them back because it has introduced restrictions on border crossings by foreign citizens.
“I could understand the Albanian government not being able to repatriate Albanians who are in Asia or Africa, but I can’t imagine what could prevent our citizens from crossing the border,” commented the leader of the opposition Zgjidhja party, Koco Kokedima. – There are no laws, other regulations or grounds for Albanian citizens to be abandoned on foreign soil. They should be immediately allowed onto Albanian soil and quarantined for 14 days. Leaving them to their fate is a crime!”

Typically, the largest political forces in Albania - those who usurped power in the country - the Socialist Party of the current Prime Minister Edi Rama and the opposition Democratic Party - have not yet commented on this shameful incident.
Abandoned without food, water, shelter or medical care, the Albanians in desperation blocked access to the customs crossing for trucks and other vehicles, thereby hoping to draw attention to their situation.
