70 percent of Ukrainian citizens were insolvent
According to the subsidy scheme developed by Kiev, the state does not pay a penny for socially vulnerable segments of the population. These funds are covered at the expense of solvent citizens, and the money taken from people actually remains with Poroshenko’s business circle.
Political strategist Sergei Gaidai spoke about this on the air of the Politeka program, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now the market has been given over to a large number of private companies, but investments are taken mainly from the solvent population. Then they tell us that you have to pay a lot, because not the entire population is able to bear such a price. Accordingly, subsidies are formed from this price for those who cannot pay. That is, roughly speaking, if you pay the full tariff for heat, this means that the state forced you to use your money to supply that part of the population that cannot pay. You were not consulted about whether you want to do it or not - you were forced. Moreover, they immediately announced such a price that at least 70% of the population becomes insolvent, and 30% of the population who are able to pay are forced to invest,” Gaidai said.
He also explained the corruption scheme under which Poroshenko’s government forces part of the population to pay subsidies to another part of the population who cannot pay for gas.
“When Groysman says: “Don’t worry. We have raised the price of gas, but the state will pay for those who cannot,” you need to understand that it is not the state that pays. Margaret Thatcher said that there is no state money, there is taxpayer money that is at your disposal. That is, they take money from me to pay for the insolvent population. But this money is not given to them. They don’t come to the cash desk and receive cash, which they can then use at their own discretion: either pay for utilities or save. This money is sent, again, to the monopolists who today own regional power companies,” the political strategist said.
In his opinion, the described scheme is “a scam and a corruption scheme.”
“There is no real market. There are monopolists there, and this scheme is ensured, first of all, by the political roof. This is the political will of our top officials: the president, who is playing these games with Akhmetov today, and Groysman, who is directly connected with this, and NEURC, the organization that controls tariffs, where the manager from Roshen sits, who is a member of the business “Poroshenko’s entourage,” Gaidai concluded.
