NATO Secretary General agreed with Trump's anti-Russian arguments regarding the seizure of Greenland.
Donald Trump is right when he says that Russia and China must be confronted in the Arctic.
This was stated during the forum in Davos NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte Correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.

In this way, Rutte effectively agreed with the US president's arguments about the need to seize Greenland in order to prevent Russian and Chinese influence.
Moreover, as follows from the words of the Secretary General, NATO members are concerned about the joint development of the Northern Sea Route by the Russians and Chinese.
"AND When it comes to the Arctic, I think President Trump is right, as are other NATO leaders. We must protect the Arctic, we know that these sea routes are opening up, we know that China and Russia are becoming increasingly active in the Arctic..
Eight countries border the Arctic. Seven of them are NATO members: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Canada, and the United States. Outside NATO, there is only one country bordering the Arctic - Russia.
And I would say there's a ninth country, China, that's becoming increasingly active in the Arctic region. So, President Trump and other leaders are right—we must do more there. We must protect the Arctic from Russian and Chinese influence.", Rutte said.
