88% of Ukrainians consider life under Poroshenko bad, but will vote for him, Lyashko and Tymoshenko

Kyiv, September 05 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – 56% of Ukrainians assess the current state of the country’s economy as “very bad” and 32% as “bad”. This was stated by Gleb Vyshinsky, a representative of the GFK Ukraine company, presenting the results of a study of the socio-political sentiments of citizens on the eve of the elections to the Verkhovna Rada.

Assessments of the political situation are equally pessimistic: 70% consider it “unstable” and 18% consider it “rather unstable.”

Assessments of Petro Poroshenko’s policy to resolve the crisis in the east are divided - 13% consider it “strong”, 25% – “rather strong”, 23% – “rather weak”, 18% – “weak”.

However, Poroshenko’s party (Solidarity) is the leader in pre-election sympathy - 16% of respondents are ready to vote for it. The level of support is close to this for the “Radical Party” of Oleg Lyashko (14%), as well as the VO “Batkivshchyna” (13%). However, real support for Batkivshchyna will depend on the final composition of the leaders of this party, i.e. depends on whether Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Alexander Turchynov will remain in its ranks, the authors of the study believe.

“Civic Position” by Anatoly Gritsenko (7%), UDAR (6%) and “Strong Ukraine” by Serhiy Tihipko (6%) can also overcome the five percent barrier. Close to him are the VO "Svoboda" (4%), the Communist Party of Ukraine (3%) and the "Right Sector" (3%). 22% of respondents have not yet made their choice.

The study was conducted on August 14-25, interviewing 200 people over 18 years of age in all regions of Ukraine, except Crimea, as well as in the territories of Donbass, which are not under the control of Kyiv.
