The photograph was taken by a correspondent from the UNN agency. It is noted that with such an emotional gesture Petro Poroshenko wanted to express sympathy and moral support for Pritula. According to Ukrainian media, the deceased Pavel Sheremet was her common-law husband. And at the time of death he was in her car.
Let us recall that the journalist Georgy Gongadze, who disappeared in Kyiv in September 2000 under still unclear circumstances, was connected with Alena Pritula in the same way as Pavel Sheremet. And on the day of his disappearance and presumed death, he left Alena Pritula’s apartment and never returned.
Evil tongues in Kyiv have since dubbed Alena Pritula a “black widow.”
