This was announced during a briefing in Minsk by the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup Irina Gerashchenko.
“Of course, the border issue is important for Ukraine. Because without closing the border, these 400 km, you know, there is no limit, the state does not understand how to protect itself. Therefore, the border issue is fundamental for the Ukrainian side, which is why we have been fighting so seriously all this year for the creation of a fifth subgroup within the Minsk groups on the issues of returning control of the border, as well as on the issue of... OSCE access to the uncontrolled section of the border,” he quotes Gerashchenko agency “Ukrinform”.
Let us recall that a working group to return control of the border with Russia was proposed to be created by ex-President Leonid Kuchma back on October 8, 2015.
