In the Moscow region, an anesthesiologist killed a woman in labor
A criminal investigation has been completed against a 53-year-old anesthesiologist-resuscitator at the Shatura Central District Hospital, accused of causing the death of a patient by negligence due to improper performance of his professional duties. This is reported by the official website of the RF Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region.

“According to the investigation, on January 03, 2015, the accused was called by obstetricians from the hospital’s maternity ward to administer anesthesia during a cesarean section to a woman in labor. At the same time, the accused improperly installed an endotracheal tube for artificial ventilation of the patient, as a result of which the ventilation of the body was carried out incorrectly, which led to the death of the victim,” the report says.
Currently, the investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base, the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
