During the clashes in the Avdeevka area in the Donbass, the Ukrainian military “acted clearly and skillfully,” which made it possible to “capture the enemy’s stronghold.”

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, who was quoted by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

“During the clash with the enemy in the Avdeevka area, the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine acted clearly and skillfully. This made it possible to capture the enemy’s stronghold,” said the Minister of Defense.

He said that the assault continued this morning.

“It was calmer at night, but this morning the active phase began again. The enemy is conducting shelling using prohibited means: in particular, tanks and artillery,” the minister added.
