The Lvov City Council demanded to cut down the star from the Monument of Glory
Lviv deputies demand the dismantling of the five-pointed star from the Monument of Glory. The news agency reports this "lvivNews".
Thus, at a meeting of the city council, a deputy from the “Ukrainian Galician Party” Taras Choliy accused the city authorities of sabotaging the law on decommunization and demanded that the star depicting the Kremlin be cut down from the monument.

“The mayor of Lviv, Andrei Sadovoy, is required to dismantle the five-pointed star depicting the Kremlin on the Monument of Glory and hold public hearings on the future fate of the monument, which reminds Lviv residents of the Soviet Union,” the message says.
It is noteworthy that, according to Ukrainian media, the “Ukrainian Galician Party” is a political project that is directly connected with the mayor of the city Andrey Sadov, and the leadership of the party are former associates of the Lviv mayor in the Republican Christian Party, from which he was nominated for mayor of the city in 2010 -th year.
