The statement made by Czech President Milos Zeman about Crimea in PACE was not an accident.

Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to him, the West is tired of the confrontation with Russia and wants to recognize the current state of affairs in order to return to normal relations.
“What Zeman says is what many people in European politics think. Today there is no question of buying and selling, there is a question of legalizing the situation around Crimea and ending the Ukrainian crisis. In fact, Zeman, to some extent, is simply a translator of the interests of part of the German, French, and pan-European elites who are looking for any way to end this conflict,” Bortnik believes.
Let us recall that during an address to deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the President of the Czech Republic called on Ukraine to come to terms with the loss of Crimea and agree to monetary compensation from the Russian Federation.
