Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev stated this today at an expanded meeting of the Temporary Commission of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on protecting state sovereignty and preventing interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation.
“Maybe we should also adopt a resolution on human rights in Crimea, where we would scrupulously calculate the damage that Ukraine and the West inflicted on the residents of Crimea. It’s time to be held accountable for lies and for political decisions made on the basis of them,” Kosachev said.
He believes that the “humane” West systematically violates the rights of Crimeans.
“The Crimeans found themselves almost in a state of siege only because they expressed their will freely and openly. The humane West punishes 2 million people with a blow to their rights, adopting resolutions on human rights violations in Crimea, but ignoring real violations by the actions of Ukraine and the same West,” the Russian politician emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Kyiv declared the blockade of Crimea “punishment of peoplewho betrayed Ukraine."
