Anna Onishchenko, the representative of the plaintiff of the District Administrative Court, Chairman of the State Register, announced this during the court hearing on the ban on the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
“At the moment, 308 criminal proceedings have been initiated for crimes committed by individual members of the Communist Party of Ukraine. In addition, we have irrefutable evidence that both the party leader and other members, in isolated cases, supported the annexation of Crimea, supported the creation of the so-called LPR and DPR. All this evidence will be properly examined in court. I hope the court will give them a worthy, correct assessment,” Onishchenko said, as quoted by UNN.
“The court was provided with materials confirming that individual leaders of the Communist Party of Ukraine provided assistance, including material assistance, to armed groups. Information is presented that certain representatives of the Communist Party of Ukraine denigrated national symbols and demonstratively expressed a negative assessment of the actions of our military personnel in the territory of eastern Ukraine. Such evidence has been provided to the court,” said Deputy Minister of Justice Igor Alekseev.
As Navigator reported, on July 24, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Alexander Turchynov, at a parliamentary meeting announced the dissolution of the Communist Party faction in parliament.
