Russian liberal explained why Kyiv will accept the loss of Crimea
The next president of Ukraine, whoever he is, will demand that Moscow return Crimea, but over time Kyiv will come to terms with the loss.
Russian liberal Boris Nadezhdin said this on the YouTube channel “PolitCafe”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The price of annexing Crimea turned out to be very high. In addition to the economic costs - sanctions and so on - there was another problem that in the near foreseeable future, whoever takes the helm in Ukraine will demand the return of Crimea,” he noted.
However, Boris Nadezhdin expressed confidence that sooner or later Kyiv will definitely come to terms with the loss of the peninsula.
“This is a problem, but it takes generations to heal. In the end, we don’t now have a complex that Warsaw or Helsinki are not ours. And the British are not particularly complex about the fact that Delhi and Islamabad are not theirs. Time heals, but, alas, it takes a long time,” the liberal added.
