Lukashenko can be replaced by a conditional “Medvedchuk”
Belarus is full of people who, if necessary, will become conductors of the policy of the Russian Federation.
The Belarusian liberal politician and economist, ex-presidential candidate of the Republic of Belarus in the 2010 elections, Yaroslav Romanchuk, stated this in an interview with the Kiev online publication “Apostrophe”, answering the question whether Moscow can agree to remove the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko from power.
“There are a lot of Kremlin emissaries here. And it will not be difficult for the Kremlin to find people who would not resist and accept handouts from Russia. It will be easier to find a conventional “Medvedchuk” here than in Ukraine,” the Belarusian oppositionist believes.
“What about physical elimination? The murder of Lukashenko by Kremlin agents,” the publication asked.
“It could be too. But I think if this solved the issues, it would have already happened. Therefore, most likely, the Kremlin will negotiate and use methods of persuasion,” says Romanchuk.
As PolitNavigator reported, one of the leaders of the Opposition Platform, Viktor Medvedchuk spoke about Lukashenko's duplicity.
