In Kyiv they whined: Maidan threw Ukraine back 100 years
The six years that have passed since the start of the Maidan were not productive - not a single demand of the Maidan activists was fulfilled, and Ukraine continues to mark time and faces the same problems as 100 years ago.
Political scientist Yuri Romanenko said this on the air of the talk show “Right to Power,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We constantly return, our people in their history constantly go through this bloodbath, through suffering. A hundred years ago we talked about language, about faith, about Russia, which is our enemy, about other problems, about land. 100 years have passed and what are we talking about? We have the same issues on the agenda. They are not reflected. Why are we drawn into this agenda again and again?
And now, six years later, we have the same problems that Maidan faced in 13 - freedom of speech, the question of the middle class, regulation by the state. I'm not talking about corruption, I'm not talking about the courts, which have not worked and are not working. In short, not a single reason why the Maidan came out in 13, as a basic one, has left the agenda, and this means that it will return again,” Romanenko said.
Let us remind you that yesterday a meeting took place on the Maidan, at which nationalists promised the new government another coup and “hot December”.
