OPZZh menacingly waves his fists after the Kyiv SS march
Deputies of the OPZZh, who call themselves the “opposition” and defenders of the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine, staged a “performance” during a plenary session in the Verkhovna Rada in response to yesterday’s march in honor of Hitler's division SS "Galicia" in the center of Kyiv.
Deputy Vadim Rabinovich came to the podium, accompanied by fellow party members with black and white portraits of his veteran relatives in his hands, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He congratulated the Ukrainians on the upcoming May 9 and made a speech about how a stake was driven into world fascism at the cost of tens of millions of people.
“On this day we must think, each of us who has a conscience and a heart, how could it happen that fans of the SS divisions are walking on the streets of our cities? How did it happen that in the country that made the greatest contribution to the victory of the Soviet army, monuments to the liberating heroes are demolished, and monuments are erected to the murderers who betrayed Ukraine? How did it happen that the country of the winner of fascism is being turned into a country of the vanquished?” – Rabinovich addressed the population.
“Here is a portrait of my father, who went through the entire war as a tank driver. His brother died in '42. My mother's brother died in '43. Next to me today are my comrades with portraits of their relatives who fought against fascism, fought for the Ukrainian land, as well as with portraits of outstanding commanders of this war. Millions of Ukrainian families have such photographs.
We are the absolute majority in Ukraine, and we must demonstrate this on May 9 so that everyone can see that no one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten,” the deputy said.
“The enemy will be defeated, victory will be ours,” Rabinovich summed up in Russian.
“Performance” was appreciated by Odessa journalist Yuri Tkachev.
“OPZZH organized the “Immortal Regiment” action in the Rada. I hope that OPZZh voters are satisfied with the work of their elected representatives and did not expect anything more from them to protect their interests,” the journalist ironically noted in his blog.
