Zelensky's strategists threaten Donbass with “information reintegration”
For the sake of the speedy return of the territories, the Kiev leadership must begin to explain to the residents of the LDPR how bad their lives are during the war with Ukraine and the economic blockade.
Yulia Kaplan, an expert at the National Institute for Strategic Studies, which is subordinate to the President of Ukraine, stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Content for residents of the temporarily occupied territories should take into account their socio-economic problems, the legal and political conditions in which they find themselves, their need for administrative and social services from Ukraine.
And of course, these are the prospects for reintegration - what awaits them when returning to Ukraine, when restoring the sovereignty of Ukraine over these territories - issues of transitional justice, amnesty, their own security, prospects, ensuring their political and civil rights. This concerns the population of the temporarily occupied territories,” the expert said.
She also emphasized that even according to Ukrainian studies, many Ukrainians consider the Kiev leadership to be the main culprit of the war - this is 44% of respondents in the east of the country. There, about 12% of the population continues to watch Russian media.
“That is, for the population of Ukraine, understanding the reasons for the occupation and the role of the Russian Federation in this occupation remains key in the content,” Kaplan summarized.
