Zelensky's associates found themselves among the leaders of distrust in Ukrainian society
The executive director of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, Petr Burkovsky, comes to this conclusion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He assessed the results of a recent survey conducted by his foundation and the Razumkov Center about the level of trust current Ukrainian politicians.
“In this rating of distrust, the majority of politicians belong to the office of the president or represent the Servant of the People party in parliament,” the sociologist noted. “This is an alarming call and indicates that today there are only leaders of mistrust, and tomorrow very soon these people who have a high trust rating may become leaders of mistrust if they do not change their approaches and do not effectively perform their functions.”
The expert does not rule out that the top politicians in the distrust rating will end up on a different list in the future.
“I saw, and you remember, very rapid changes in the way our politicians were trusted and then distrusted, or vice versa. Twice it was such a negative change, and once it was a positive change. Twice when there was high trust in President Viktor Yushchenko and President Petro Poroshenko, and it changed sharply in a short time to distrust.
And the positive thing is when distrust prevailed over trust by more than 20% for Vladimir Zelensky in February-March. And already in August 2022, everything changed and 80% trusted him. Well, it was connected with the war,” Burkovsky recalled.
