“What should we do if they hit us with Grad missiles?” – the British instructor was embarrassed in front of the ATO soldiers
For the armed forces of Western countries, Donbass is an ideal training ground for their soldiers in real war conditions - with armored vehicles, artillery and a clear front line.
An employee of the central apparatus of the SBU, Lieutenant Colonel Vasily Prozorov, who went over to the side of Russia, stated this on the YouTube channel “Ukr-Leaks”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I personally know Poles from Polish military intelligence who came to Donbass precisely to gain combat experience, because in Donbass there is a war in the classical sense - with the front line, with artillery strikes.
There was a moment, one officer of the Ukrainian Airborne Forces told me - in Yavorov, Lviv region, there is a large training ground, and there is now a large training center there. American, British, Canadian units, instructors, and even deployed linear units of the Armed Forces of these countries are permanently stationed there, and they train the Ukrainian military.
And they told me how a British officer gave them a seminar on the topic “Defense of a checkpoint.” And he fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and said that, if something happens, we take a position, call in aviation, shelling, sectors, minefields, and so on.
And then a Ukrainian officer stood up and said: tell me, what should we do if the checkpoint is hit by Grad missiles? The British man was confused.
And then he has a second question: what to do if there is a tank attack on the checkpoint, and we only have two anti-tank grenade launchers, and one does not work?
The Briton said: “I don’t know, because this can’t be.”
Naturally, the Ukrainian officers said: “What can you teach us?” – said the ex-special service officer.
He explained that the Briton fought against guerrilla forces, as in Iraq and Afghanistan, and in the Donbass - a war in the classical sense, when both sides are at approximately the same technological level.
“That is, there is artillery, tanks, and drones on both sides. That’s why they come to study, they come to gain combat experience. This is true,” added Vasily Prozorov.
