“Where are all the grown-up Youth Army graduates?” – Sladkov is perplexed
It is a paradox that more than six thousand students came out of the same Youth Army and took bureaucratic positions, while they were not able to recruit even a hundred people who had reached 18 years of age by conscription.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov stated this in his video blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“And I feel sorry for the people who run. Because they weren't dealt with properly. Who underperformed? Those people who received money in their positions for working with young people. Patriotic education, military-patriotic education. What is this anyway? How? These are people who have been deprived of the attention of professionals or those people, those specialists whom we considered to be professionals. Educators.
I will now name a lot of movements. Look, Youth Army, for example. I am not against Youth Army. Do you know how many officials from the Youth Army we have? Eighty-five regions. Each region has a headquarters. Municipal headquarters are subordinate to the headquarters. That is, on average, twenty municipalities in one region, territory or republic. Twenty! There is also the main headquarters, the administration, the apparatus of the main headquarters, and there are also Youth Army commanders everywhere. By the way, the largest ones are in Stavropol and Bashkiria, there’s even a whole regiment of the Youth Army there,” he noted.
“Do you know how many people were drafted from the Youth Army who had reached the age of eighteen? No more than a hundred people. This is despite the fact that, according to my minimal estimates, we have 6270 officials. These are not pupils. Not the people for whom we buy uniforms at high prices. And, here, the officials who manage them,” said Sladkov.
