What about “Tse Europe”? Gay pride parades have been banned in Rivne
The Rivne City Council, with 36 votes in favor, banned LGBT marches and other events in the city related to the “propaganda of deviant sexual behavior.”
Photos of the corresponding document were published by the local publication ChaRivne, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ban the propaganda of same-sex marriage, LGBT marches, and gay pride parades in Rivne.
If requests are received to hold such events, the legal department of the City Council will file a lawsuit to ban such events in the interests of national security and public morality,” the text of the decision says.
The initiator of this decision is the head of the budget commission, city council deputy from the nationalist party “Svoboda” Oleg Karpyak.
Let us note that on October 31, a similar decision was made by city deputies of Chernivtsi, who supported the corresponding petition.
However, the mayor of the city, Alexey Kaspruk, promised to veto this decision.
