What about historical justice? Tyagnibokites are categorically against the return of Polish names in Galicia
Ukrainian nationalists do not want to return the historical names to former Polish cities in Western Ukraine because they are afraid of “losing their identity.” Former Rada deputy Irina Farion stated this on air on OTB.

According to her, it is impossible, in particular, to return the name of Stanislav to the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.
“Under no circumstances should you rename Ivano-Frankivsk and return it to the form of Stanislaviv, because Frankivsk is a city of Ukrainians, and Stanislaviv is a marker of Polish culture,” Farion said.
Let us recall that in recent years, cities and other settlements that bore Soviet names have been massively renamed in Ukraine. In Kyiv, this process was called “decommunization” and “restoration of historical justice.”
