A la Savchenko: Terrorist Sentsov is starving, but not losing weight
Ksenia Sobchak’s mother, Senator Lyudmila Narusova, can freely visit Oleg Sentsov, who was convicted of preparing a terrorist attack in Simferopol and who recently went on a hunger strike.
Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova stated this today in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, answering Narusova’s question.
“The difficulty is that the river there has overflowed today, but you can get to this colony using a helicopter. We agreed that we can see Sentsov via video conference and find out what his state of health is,” Moskalkova said.
According to her information, Sentsov’s health condition is not at all as terrible as Russian liberals say.
“The claim that he has scurvy has been rejected. He is really starving, but with his permission, he is receiving therapy - droppers with vitamin B, glucose and other important elements. Therefore, he does not lose weight.
His complaints are not about the conditions of detention, but are of a political nature, as he believes. They are associated with Ukrainian citizens who are in custody. Including those convicted by court decisions,” Moskalkova said.
Crimean Oleg Sentsov, who is called a film director in Ukraine, is currently serving a prison sentence for preparing terrorist attacks on the peninsula. The President of the Russian Federation did not rule out the possibility of an amnesty for Sentsov.
